which I agree with

I check out the lyrics and this verse I was thinking of

Then the song ends with words are meaningless 
and that I think not is, do de da doesn't mean anything. 

But funnily enough many lyrics have been written rather indirect political agenda like
Some Beatles songs are very wordly political oriented (now Hey Jude is not about the Jew but it was it translates to in Swedish) My fav Beatles song is Come together because it has that kind of a zing to it or it is the News song I like better - A day in the life is good song too.

Another person that has written songs a little bit under the influence is Cornelis Vreeswijk,

he was from Holland originally but he has become a Swedish national bard, his songs have 

been sung by every school children (at least when I went there some years ago) I had this 

idea of translating his music to english and found out that he has already done the opposite 

he translated some verses from English to Swedish but he did it with his words and twisted 

them to be entertaining. Incestvisan that he translated he got awarded a prize for from a 

swedish female magazine for have written the most horrible manschauvinistiska song that 

year. That it was about incest was enough for him to get the award but then he told that the 

original writer of the song was female Buffy Saint Marie, that he Cornelis himself talked to 

and got permission to translate the song from her: The incest song, that she learned from 

her grandmother, a real navajoindian. Then Cornelis sings the song all ends well since there 

been some misunderstanding in the family about who was who's father...

So one can look into more information thanks to the internet and Buffy is still touring the world, 

apparently she wrote the song "Up where we belong" that became a film soundtrack for "An officer 

and a gentleman" which is Richard Gere like, that´s my grandmothers favorite actor. 

So one comes from politicians I care not for to, to the things one do care about, family. 

That scene is so Simpsons now. Homer carries Marge through the toxic power plant, Its funny how the cartoons or animations so rule the world at the same time terrifying because a new generation has no recollection of that original screenplay. Education is therefor very important. Learn something new everyday why don't you?

The Award season

It is cold and dark times in Sweden in January when the

holiday has passed and all good food has been eaten during

the two to three week long sparetime you get in December to

get on a spree of shopping for the next year during the

mellandagsrea - between holidays sellout - from stores that

you just the week before bought expensive Christmas gifts

from.  

Then comes February and you get slowly back into working

mode as the darkest night has been in December,

Vintersolståndet - winter solstice has been over with and the

darker times turn lighter again. Isn't it weird?    oO

Art school

We have begun working at Final Cut pro and or le premiere from Adobe. It´s to learn how to make art

film project which is interesting so far. Hard to make a short film with all the process of the

filmmaking singlehandedly on every aspect of a film oneself. We had a woman from Gotland Film to

teach us about storytelling, how to write a script and tomorrow there will be a lecture in animation.

She mentioned Fårö and Bergmancenter and I feel like it's so close but far away, couple of hours bus

and the ferry, well in the springtime when it opens I will be going there. There something to look

forward to this year.

My free time

I thought I was looking forward to Mello 2015 the saturday last but as the young boys started singing

about taking a groupie instead of a selfie I turned the telly of. Maybe I have grown upp from that

music fest thing. Although I probably will turn into the Eurovision in May, it´s happening in Wien

and Australia will be attending to it which feels awkward. That´s a whole other continent I mean.

Eurovision is supposed to be for the European, ah well good to have some more participans soon it

will be Euro world vision? Music for the people. Yey


Ye salted icecream. I had never heard of it before but know I know. thx JD. Looking forward to see

Mordecai if it is as funny on screen as the actors that made it had doing it behind the scenes

according to interview.

Dreams 

I dream in color and hear sound sometime, but it is rare that i remember the dreams as I wake up but

some of them are worthy of writing down and I sometimes wonder how it can be a dream and not

something that happened to me in real life, like some dreams are like memories others are

adventurous stories probably my mind taking a tripp into a Indiana Jones film I saw long time ago

mixed with the reading of Dalai Lama mixed up with the Maya indians and a hidden golden city in

the jungle. I can hear voices, spoken words in my dreamworld but I have never heard music.

Although I listen to an awful lot of music during daytime, never that it goes into my dreams..

Wonder why that is so? Maybe I ought to be a writer more than musician then.

art and culture, I don't know

The lecturer gave the class the assignment of making out a "kulturmanifest" a pamphlet of culture like the Futurists used to do daily. To think about what is culture, what is art and so on. 

Art is for humanity. There always will be culture, art and poetry because its the way to communicate feelings amongst each other. It a pity that its so much workers in the culture section that doesn't get paid, its like in Sweden a few "famous" wellpaid workers in the culture while there are thousands of artists that struggle, unknown to the public, not getting a decent pay of the day, having to take other jobs to get by. Why is it so? The culture that humanity thrives upon, that is so important is for but a few to get by on when there are so many others standing in line, not just waiting but fighting for to get a place in the spotlight not getting any space because of the media covering but a few shining stars. 

It's a lucky few that have become someone known to the public.

I Amerika har konstnärer ofta bidragit inte till storlek men till spirit, inte till politiska åsikter men till vår insikt inte till vår självkänsla men till vår själv kännedom. Den store poeten Robert Frost såg poesi som det sätt att rädda makten från sig själv när makten är korrupt, poesin rensar för konst etablisserat en grund för den humana sanningen. som måste serve as the touchstone för vårt tanke måste vi aldrig glömma att konsten är inte en form av propaganda utan en form av sanning. Den högsta tjänsten för författaren, kompositören, konstnären är att de förblir sanna mot sig själva och låter chipsen falla var de vill och nationen obtains en konstagenda som bjuder in de som har inget att se tillbaka på med stolthet och intet att se tillbaka på med hopp. (Sen är det amerikanskt) var inte rädd för grace och skönhet.
