Aplha beat

This is supposed to be my alphabet for music, got the idea recently.

Let´s start with ´drumroll´

Swedish produced music by Artists in no specific order,

I´m just thinking of trying to get some gender equality 50/50 female artist

Laleh - Live tomorrow(2005)

The song is in english as many of todays swedish artists music with the message of there is a day tomorrow also.

Orup - Främling(2014) (orginal Carola song)

The original song Carola sung in Eurovision the year I was born, 1983, but this weekend Orup sang it in a ballade kind of way instead of Carolas power performance style and made the song Främling 'Stranger' better this way.

Eva Dahlgren - Vem tänder stjärnorna? (1991)

One wonders who lights the stars? who makes me do the things I do? Who makes me go where I've never been? It's a questioning tune.

Nordman -Vandraren(1994)

The year this song was released every swede soon knew the lines 'det gör ont men gå ändå, du kom hit som en vandrare' You know that it hurts but walk anyhow, you are put here on this earth to be a strider/walking man (or female)

Lisa Ekdahl - Vem vet(1994)

it's a beautiful song about how we don't know. We know nothing now, nothing today. Vem vet/ Who knows?

Ges Glenmark/ Eriksson/ Strömstedt - Hon är min(1995)

This three already famous swedish musicians made an album together.  I had the cassette tape and me and my friend interpreted the songs in our child play pretending to singing this song it fitted rivalry amongst the toys "She´s mine"

Cecilia Vennersten - Det Vackraste(1995)

Melodifestivalen - it is prior to Eurovision every year Cissi got the 2nd place in Mello -95 and her song gets played on the radio sometimes still.  It's about the most beautiful thing, to have someone close to you.

The Wannadies - Somewhere someone(1996)

one song from their album Bagsy me which is one of my first CD's I bought myself 1997.
It's cheesy music but the lyrics are fine.

Roxette - Joyride(1991)

My man was Per Gessle when I was little, my band was Roxette for some time.

Robert Broberg - Öken(1993)

The year Robban sang/ spoke this song my whole family was on a vacation to the ski slopes in Sälen, Dalarna, Middle sweden where the swedish alps/fjällen are. It's a funny song about how Robert went to the desert/öken and his troubles during the trip. The verses rhyme fantastic by the clever man. RIP Robert Broberg (1940- 2015)

Sarah Dawn Finer - I remember love(2007)

this song I have sung in a Karaoke bar in Umeå, when my heart was broken from a boy.
I love Sarah.

Lisa Nilsson - Himlen runt hörnet(1992)

this is about the heaven around the corner, to have an own angel in your bed..

Stakka Bo -  Love a woman

he sings in english, but is a swede, the great blondino.

Antiloop - In my mind(1997)

I heard this a lot when I was younger. Forgot about it and remembered the artists name the other day. I don't like techno style much but this was ok.

International artists that inspire me underneath this line ___

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (1991)

The Wayne´s World version is what I saw as a little girl. Apparently the song is originally from 1975. RIP Freddie Mercury (1946-1991)

Angelique Kidjo - Agolo(1994)

This song did not play on the radio but I saw this music video when my family for a short time had a music channel called MTV on the vacation trip to the swedish alps. It reminded me of what life could have sounded like when my aunt Seija lived in Tanzania. I looked up a translation for the song just now and it is about mother earth, rain and snake?

Youssou N'Dour & Neneh Cherry - 7 seconds(1994)

Also -94 something happened in music then? I became aware of music then. Neneh is swede by the way.

Tori Amos - Cornflake Girl(1994)

This song, I like the piano play, and the lyrics goes in my head sometimes "Where´d you put the keys girl?"  (looking for keys always)

The Cranberries - Zombie(1994)

She's golden and singing about zombies with that feeling in her voice.
Never understood the meaning of the song back then- I read somewhere it's about killings in ireland?

No doubt - Don't speak(1995)

This song we sang in school.

Alanis Morisette - Ironic(1996)

I know this song after having it on concert in ca 8th grade.

Eminem  feat. Dido - Stan (2000)

I love Eminem, have all his albums. Those first helped me through adolescent, growing up. This song made one young girl understand the relationship between a fan to their idol from a different perspective

Chris Cornell - Sweet Euphoria(1999)

From the album Euphoria morning that I bought after I heard the song from the music channel on a telly in Finland visiting my family over there 1999, or was it Moonchild I heard? This lead me to Soundgarden and later and Audioslave with the same main man singing lead.

Daft Punk - One more time(2000)

I liked the first video from Daft Punk as well Around the world(1997) but One more time video is nice, like a whole movie/anime something reminds me of Starzinger - an anime that was rerun on swedish children television in the ´90s

Incubus - Drive(2000)

Feel good music bit, this band I got warm feelings for. Heard them concert online
KROQ radio. Good stuff.

Queens of the stone age - No one knows (2002)

this one song I like, becoz Dave Grohl is the drummer.

Nirvana - Come as you are(1992)

I grew up with an older brother that listened to this grunge thing, which is pretty good.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Road trippin´(1999)

This is my little brothers favorite band and I've found some songs of them I like also.

Savage Garden - I want you(1997)

Them boys I saw in concert in Globen in Stockholm way back when they were straight.

Simply red - Star(1991)

Amongst the more recent music I've come to like

Tiktak - Lopeta(1999)

I don't understand a word of this song, just the title means Stop it, stop doing what you do or something. They are so cute girls. I worked in Finland a summer 2006 and this song was popular then.

Valvomo - Mikä kesä?(2006)

Finnish song from when I lived there another summer. The band asks what is summer time and what is there to do in the summer.

Adele - Rollin in the deep (2011)

it took me some time to actually know who sang this song becoz I was absent from
reality for a while at that time, or maybe I was just working my ass off and didn't have time to learn new stuff... this song got stuck with me 'cause I´ve been rolling in the deep also

MUSE - New Born(2009)

The pianist is better than me almost. Who knew Stephanie Meyer had this music in the background writing Twilight. I drifted into MUSE around 2009 when I had some sparetime and needed some feeling good.

Melody Gardot - Baby I'm a fool(2009)

She had an accident and became an artist with this special voice.

David Bowie - Where are we now?(2013)

As long as there's Rain, fire, Sun I got the Next Day.

Prince - When doves cry(1984)

Prince the artist was like my uncle lookalike and it hurts to think about they are both gone now. My uncle died from HIV in 2003 and Prince made the journey to rest in peace 2016. Actually it was the song Diamonds and pearls(1991) that was most listened to in my youth released when I was 8y old.

to be continued...
